 Regulatory Science and Regulatory Affairs in Unstable Times

In 2025, FDA has experienced changes unprecedented in its history.  What is likely to come next? 

NCRAF is honored to welcome former FDA Commissioner Dr. Robert Califf to share with our group his unique perspectives on recent changes at FDA, and what they are likely to mean for our profession, as well as our country as a whole. 

Speaker:  Dr. Robert Califf

(FDA Commissioner 2016-2017, 2022-2025)

 Dr. Robert M. Califf, MD, MACC is a distinguished physician, researcher, and leader in clinical and regulatory science. He twice served as Commissioner of Food and Drugs (2016–2017, 2022–2025) and is currently an Instructor in Medicine at Duke University. Between his FDA appointments, he led medical policy and strategy at Verily and Google Health. A nationally recognized expert in cardiovascular medicine and clinical research, Dr. Califf was a long-time professor and vice chancellor at Duke, where he founded the Duke Clinical Research Institute. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and has published over 1,200 peer-reviewed articles.

There is a networking reception with open bar and heavy hors d'oevres from 5:30-6:30 pm. 

Dr. Califf's presentation will be held from 6:30-8 pm, including an open floor for audience questions.

The event is $30 for NCRAF members ($20 for student/unemployed jobseeker members), or $50 for the public, through May 14.  From May 15-29, pricing increases to $40/$30/$60. for this
