The North Carolina Regulatory Affairs Forum (NCRAF) and the American Medical Writers Association Carolinas Chapter (AMWA Carolinas) are pleased to announce their third annual joint networking and educational event! Join us for a panel discussion on the role of freelancers and consultants in regulatory affairs and medical writing:
  • Are you a regulatory affairs or medical writing professional who is interested in transitioning to a freelance or consulting position?
  • What industry trends and recent changes are the top concerns for seasoned freelancers and consultants?
  • Is it realistic for aspiring regulatory affairs or medical writing candidates to transition directly into freelancing or consulting positions?
  • How do industry professionals view freelancers and consultants, and what qualities inform their hiring decisions?
  • Is there even a difference between freelancing and consulting?
Join us for a panel session during which our panelists will share their varied perspectives on freelancing and consulting, from newcomer to seasoned consultants, and from freelancer to in-house consultant manager. Enjoy an hour of in-person networking, appetizers, and drinks, followed by a 90 minute (hybrid) discussion moderated by Batu Sharma of NCRAF, with an open floor for audience questions.

Panelists will include:

Dorothy Keine _ 3Prime Medical Writing, LLC
Erin O'Reilly _ O'Reilly Consulting Corp.
Maria Oyaski _ Oyaski Regulatory Consulting, LLC
[Industry panelist TBD]

Networking reception 5:30-6:30 pm (in-person only)(drink tickets and appetizers included)

Panel Discussion 6:30-8:00 pm (hybrid)

Event registration through August 28 is $35 in-person (employed), $15 for in-person student/unemployed; $15 for remote attendees.
